Indo-Chinese Chicken Manchurian Recipe

A delicious and popular Indo-Chinese recipe-Chicken Manchurian Gravy. Fried chicken pieces in a spicy and tangy sauce


Ingredients-
Batter for frying the chicken pieces:


Chicken(boneless) -        400 gms
Coriander leaves-              half a bunch or less
Besan-                               2 tbspns
corn flour-                         1 and half tbspns
Maida-                               1 tbspn
Eggs-                                 1
Ginger Garlic Pwdr-          1tbspn
Red chilli Powder-             2 or 3tbspns(use less if u dont like spicy)
Turmeric Powder-             1/4 tspn
Coriander Powder-            1/2 tbspn
Salt-                                    to taste

For making the Chicken Manchuriyan Sauce/Gravy-

Soya Sauce-                       1 1/2 tspn
Chilli Sauce-                      1 tspn
green chillies-                     3 or 4( more if u like much spicy)
Capsicum-                          1
Ginger-                               1 tbspn finely chopped
Garlic-                                1 and half tbspn finely chopped
Salt                                      to taste   
Vinegar-                              1 tsp
Oil-                                      3 to 4 tbspn
Oil for deep frying-             as required
Tomato Ketchup                 1 tspn

Method/Procedure-

  • At first, wash chicken pieces twice or thrice and drain the water.
  • In a bowl, add chicken pieces,sprinkle soya sauce and wait for 2 minutes.
  • Then add red chilli pwdr,coriander pwdr, salt,ginger garlic paste,and egg. mix well and marinate for  3 hrs(atlst 1 hr)
  •  Now add maida,corn flour, besan and salt in it and prepare the batter.
  • Heat the Oil  in a deep pan and fry the chicken pieces, flip in the intervals and fry until golden brown.
  • Now take another pan, and add 3 tbspn oil, add spring onion  white shoot pieces and leaves, garlic,ginger chopped and deseeded capsicum pieces
  • After 2 mins, add soya sauce, chilli sauce,1/4 cup water, salt, 1 tspn vinegar and bring to boil and cover the lid for 5 mins.
  • Now open the lid and add the roasted chicken pieces, and add just 1 tspn corn flour dissolved in a 1/4 cup of water.and cook in low flame.
  • Now add chopped coriander leaves and mix it and switch off the flame
  • Yummy Chicken Manchuriyan is now ready to serve.

Serve hot with chinese Fried Rice and tomato sauce:-)
