INDIAN KHICHDI Recipe

Description : INDIAN KHICHDI  ,

Ingredients 

Rice - 1. 1/2 Glass.
Moong Dal : 1/2 glass.
Green chilies : 4 Nos.
Curd : 1 cup.
Lemon- 1.
Bay leaf- 1.
Cloves-  7 -10 pieces.
Black pepper - 7-10 pieces.
Onions - 2 big Size.
Turmeric - 1/4 spoon.
Ghee - 3 table spoon.
Oil - 4 Tea spoon.
Pudina leaves Bunch.
Salt .
Jeera 1/4 spoon.
eliachi- 5-8 nos
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 table Spoon.

Procedure:

1.Take Rice cooker ( Suggested to Use electric Cooker or You can use Normal Cooker Also) .
Heat the Cooker or pan and add 3 tbl spoon Oil.

2 , Add jeera , cloves , elaichi , bay leaves , green chillies ( slit length wise ) and fry till aroma comes out.

3.  Add finely chopped onions, Add little salt and  fry till it turns to golden brown colour.

4. Add ginger garlic paste 2 table spoon , and slightly fry and mix it well with other ingredients .

5.Add 3 Tbl spoon Pure ghee, and also add washed rice and Moong dal simultaneously and fry till it lightly changes color.

6 . Now add Chopped pudina leaves and turmeric powder and mix ii well and later add water  3 and 3/4 of glass of water and mix it well .

7 . Add 3 tspn curd (beat it with fork in a separate bowl and add) and 2 tspn lemon juice and salt to taste.

8 Cover the lid of the cooker ,

9 . If you are using a rice cooker , set the timer to RICE, In case if you are using Normal cooker , allow it to cook for 10-15 mins on low flame , and check whether rice is cooked properly.Dip the spatula and check if the rice is not Sticking to it and boiled properly. If rice is not sticking to the spatula, then your KHICHDI is ready .


Serve with Curd or raitha .
