Ramzan Special Halwa

Sewai or semiya or Vermicelli Halwa is a sweet dish which is full of traditional taste and enough nutrition. Kids love to have it in their breakfast.  Especially it is the dish prepared on Ramzan along with other special dishes.

It is my favorite dish which i love to prepare and share it with my family members and friends.
Especially, in the rainy or winter season, semiya lovers love to prepare and serve it hot along with their family members. I am one of them:-D

Sewiya Halwa

Ingredients


Vermicelli broken - 250 gms.
Sugar -250 gms,
Khoya - 150 gm (optional)
Ghee    - 3 tbsp.
Oil       - 2 tsp
Cardamom - 2 teaspoons.Water - 2 cups.
 Almonds, cashew nuts, raisins, pista - Half Cup.

Preparation

- Lit the stove and heat a pan. Add 1 teaspoon of Ghee and roast dry fruits and keep it aside.
-Then add oil and 1 tsp ghee and roast vermicelli until brown.
- Take another thick based bowl and add 2 cups of water in it.
- Once it comes to the boiling point, add the roasted vermicelli. Boil until the water dries up.
- Now take the pan and add the remaining ghee, dry fruits, khoya and the boiled vermicelli and sugar, and mix it on low flame.
- once the liquid becomes thick, remove the pan and take it in a serving bowl.
- Garnish with dry fruits.

Serve it hot and enjoy with your friends and family.
